Have you ever seen one of those book reviews from Booktok and thought, “Why not give it a shot?” Well, that’s precisely how I found this book.

Let me tell you, Booktok can be a hit or miss, depending on your style and reading genre. Personally, I think it has brought a lighter side to dark romance.

The banter, the drama, the chaos. It was such a delicious story for my brain to devour that I couldn’t get enough.

Illayana Volkov is not just the princess of the Bratva but also the princess in her family’s hearts. I admire this no-nonsense woman. Size doesn’t matter when she can hold her own against the world.

Arturo De Luca is the heir to the Italian New York Mafia. Sometimes, a man just knows when his woman waltzed through the door. I should not have been surprised by how old and new traditions clashed, but that’s life. Protective and Possessive, Arturo did not shy away from his work duties or his vow to protect Illayana.

Overall, I recommend this book if you love a fast-paced romance with lots of banter. It was a joy to read, especially to see the character development throughout the story. The author’s different writing style was a refreshing change once I got into the story. But please check the trigger warnings before developing into this story.
