From start to finish, this book held me in a chokehold!
Jennie and Garrett are the most down-to-earth characters I’ve ever read about. The green flags were flying high and bright.
All my doubts about hockey romance have flown out the window. I’m proud to be in my hockey romance era.
Something about the forbidden love trope will always pull me in. The tension and the secret meet-ups are everything we crave without having to put the thought into action.
Jennie Beckett is for sure of the Beckett family. Fierce, independent, and family-oriented. She’s a girl who knows her worth and will not take anything less than what she deserves.
Though her vulnerability from her past as well as things she struggled with during her story, were what made her character beautifully tragic.
Garrett Andersen. Patient, understanding, and quirky. From the awkward moments to his confidence growing stronger throughout the story. It was a joy to learn more about who Gare-bear is.
The author knew how to balance life, laughter, and vulnerability within the story. Love at first sight is amazing, but many can relate to Garrett and Jennie’s story and how they’ve built upon their love from the ground up.
Communicating and supporting each other in their life goals together and separately.
Friends to lovers is a more challenging trope for me, but the author knew how to capture my attention with Jennie and Garrett’s story. I seriously can’t stop reading this story!
