This is the strangest time in your life.

Some of your friends are getting married, others are pregnant, etc.

Your mind will start to feel cluttered, and with that, all the bad thoughts will flood your mind.

“Am I doing enough?”

“Why do I feel so behind?”

“I need to do XYZ to make up for it.”

These are all normal thoughts. We’ve been institutionalized for our entire childhood, and becoming institutionalized takes a lot more work.

Get off your butt and go outside.

Take a walk or sit in the sun for five minutes.

When your day is so demanding, and you’re too overstimulated, take a breath by doing something that doesn’t require much stimulation.

Also, don’t forget to silence your devices when you’re decompressing! Unwinding is supposed to be relaxing, not partially stimulating.

It may not work right away, but it’s a start.
