There is something profound in one’s dignity and pride.
Some say it’s what holds most back from their full potential. I personally think it’s what holds back their chance to grow.
I’ll be transparent.
I’ve encountered many whose pride and dignity are more significant than they are. This makes them think they’re better than others, but reality sets in and humbles them.
So, to those who would instead put their pride and dignity before their logic and reasoning, I would like you to take a step back and reevaluate why a situation made you like that.
Emotions run high during a situation that makes you feel like you’re in the hot seat.
The situation upsets you because you know that you’re at fault in one way or another. Maybe you created the entire situation and would rather play the victim than face the reality of it.
Regardless, you’re the problem. Your pride means nothing when a part of you knows you’re the cause and you’re reaping your effect.
Essentially, you’ll end up looking for pity in the wrong places.
I advise against playing the victim and instead looking at a situation for what it is. If you’re the problem, accept it and move on.
After all, we want to grow into the best version possible.
Dwelling on that fact will do nothing but hurt you and those around you. Unless that’s your intention, then that’s a different story.
Don’t be the problem; be the solution in a world filled with problems.
We’ll talk soon,
Sweet T.
