I understand everyone wants something tangible to see.

But, the phrase “money is everything” is total and utter bullshit.

There was a time in my life when I worked two jobs just to make enough money to enjoy myself. Though, when the time came, I was not enjoying the money I was making. Instead, I was tired and burned out while not living life at all.

Here’s Why:

1: Health

Trading your time for money can negatively impact your well-being. You’ll find yourself suddenly running on adrenaline while working eight, twelve, sixteen, or even twenty-four-hour shifts. The product of that? You’ll be getting sick more often than you would like.

2: Happiness

The phrase “Money can’t buy happiness” is one that most people have likely heard growing up. Although money can’t buy you happiness, in terms of its value. But will your happiness have the quality it needs? Money can only buy you so much happiness until it gets old.

3: Relationships

Having money means you can access circles that you would only dream of being in. That doesn’t sound so bad, right?

But what if the relationships you paid your way to access were not genuine, but instead superficial? I would bet you’d feel a lot more hollow on the inside.

On the contrary, having money can help with bills that you have (if you are a caregiver) or even lend a hand to a friend or family member when they need it.

All in all, money is nothing when you understand the way of life. Money was created as a division between the classes as a type of barrier that the one percent can cross. When you have money, you often end up with more problems.

We’ll talk soon,

Sweet T.
