Read that again.

It’s normal to want to please everyone, especially when you’re running from the one thing you want the most: to find yourself.

So here’s to losing people rather than yourself.

1: Lack of Authenticity

When you’re constantly worried about others’ wants and needs, you will forget about your own. Even if you’re taking a day to yourself and a friend texts you that they need you to go with them on an errand, you’ll find yourself dropping your need to take care of yourself just to accompany your friend for their benefit.

This often suppresses who you truly are and who you can become. A tulip doesn’t stop blooming because a rose needs the space.

2: Manipulation

They will take advantage of the fact you want to please them. They will do it without knowing. You will become a victim of manipulation that you don’t even understand. Avoid it and set boundaries.

3: Unrealistic Expectations

Your standards for yourself will start to rise when you constantly please others. You’ll want to do this, create that, and go there. Realistically, you’ll disappoint yourself. There’s nothing worse than to disappoint yourself.

Do yourself a favor and start to lose friends rather than yourself.

The only person that matters at the end of the day is your well being.

We’ll talk soon,

Sweet T.
