The type of people you should be around are those who constantly have drive and ambition.

That does not mean you have to leave all your old friends behind. No.

But don’t spend all your time with those without drive to change their lives and continue to grow.

Listen, it’s easy to want to keep your friends from childhood. Sometimes, it’s a win because you both continue to grow and take life in strides. But do not spend all your time with friends with no drive and continuously stay in the same situation that you (as a third party) can see as detrimental.

Even if you give that person advice and talk about it repeatedly, nothing changes. Love, it’s time to put that friendship aside and focus on yourself and your growth.

You can’t continue the same cycles and expect different results.

Something needs to change, and sometimes (most times) it’s the people you are around.

Don’t be around people who fake their intentions to you. It’ll take time to weed out, but your future self will thank you.
