Being sick is sometimes unavoidable.

We don’t know how, we don’t know when, and we don’t know where we get sick from sometimes. But the main part of being sick, is taking the proper care of ourselves during our sickness.

It’s will also be the most challenging part of being sick.

There are a lot of firsts in your 20s. Nursing yourself back to health is one of the biggest firsts you’ll experience.

Here are the top three things that help me when I’m sick.

1: Hydrate

When you’re sick, the last thing you want to do is hydrate your body.

It’s normal.

The liquids that are going in your body, whether it’s electrolytes, water, or soup at the very least needs to be there to replenish your system.

2: Eat

I absolutely hate eating anything when I’m sick. My appetite is just not there.

Soup and noodles are your best friend when you’re sick. It’s enough to replenish your system (hopefully) without making your stomach hurt.

3: Rest

Stay off social media.

Resting is about giving your brain and your body a break from life itself. Read a book or better yet, sleep.

To be fully functional again, you need to sleep.

But I will warn you. Resting is probably the easiest part of recovering when you’re sick. Which is why eating and hydrating your body is an absolute must that you need to be on top of.

We’ll talk soon,

Sweet T.
