Whether you went into that field of occupation or it was thrust upon you, just know that you are seen.

It’s easy to overlook caretakers. I trust and believe they feel overlooked, especially when thrust into caring for a family member.

Your daily routines are now doubled because you are also obligated to help someone else do their daily routines.

It becomes a little… suffocating.

You are not alone in the way you are feeling. It’s normal to have these feelings, as many of us do.

Take some time to walk outside and enjoy the fresh air, or give yourself a little treat for completing a shift at the end of the day.

Being a caretaker is complex. It’s not as glamorous as some make it out to be.

I see you. You’re seen.

I see you even if you feel you don’t matter or your feelings are thrust aside. I acknowledge all your hard work and value the time and patience it takes to enter this role.

Keep pushing. I’m rooting for you.

We’ll talk soon,

Sweet T.
