I sobbed. Like absolutely bawled my eyes out when I read this book.

The tumultuous turmoils and obstacles they had to endure for their love story are something I will never forget. Although they were introduced to me as fictional characters, their story was so real that I will cherish the words on those papers forever.

Fate has shown us firsthand that not everything is in our control, but authors show us that everything is in their control.

Rina Kent has given us the story we needed to see from the beginning.

Annika Volkov is the daughter of the infamous Adrian Volkov and Lia Morelli. She’s sweet, she’s sunshine, and her personality is so purple that it’s impressive. I adored how she wasn’t your typical sunshine character and took what her heart wanted.

Her purple personality was too addicting.

When I tell you Creighton King was giving in his book, I mean he was giving! As the son of Aiden King and Elsa Steel, I expected nothing less when his grumpy, overprotective, and possessive personality came to light.

He was annoying at times, as all men are, but he understood in the end.

I can’t comprehend how to explain how my brain chemistry was altered from reading this book. I thought this would be another grumpy sunshine read as I was reading. But let me tell you, I was not expecting all the plot twists this book gave.

Whenever I thought I knew what would happen next, I was blown away by what actually happened!

This book was too addictive to put down. I just had to read it in one sitting. It is an excellent introduction to the dark romance genre.
