Let’s be real.

Being unproductive is normal. Don’t let others tell you different.

To become your best self, you will need the best of everything while you’re creating who you want to be.

For example, if you’re trying to become the best chef in the world, you’ll need the best ideas, the best ingredients, and so on. But the one thing you’ll need on top of all that is the best rest.

Our bodies know what they need before our brains process what we’re missing. Most of the time, it’s rest.

Therefore, if you need a day to lay in bed the entire time and scroll mindlessly on social media, you shouldn’t feel like you’re wasting a day away.

You’ll only waste a productive day if you force yourself to push through that day when you need to rest instead.

On the flip side, don’t take too many lazy days. If all you do is stay in bed and scroll through social media, take a break, and go for a walk. There are many different ways we can rest our bodies. Sometimes, it’s figuring out what works best for us.

It’s normal to feel like you’re wasting an entire day when you could be doing more. But the reality is that even the best of us need to rest.

Take a breath, listen to your body, and don’t let insecure thoughts plague your mind.
