Summary: (Per Author Excerpt)

Kai Rhodes. A single dad and a starting pitcher for the Chicago MLB team. His nannies lasted only a few weeks before they ended up fired… Until his coach put his foot down and hired his daughter as his new nanny for the summer.

Miller Montgomery. A high-end pastry chef who won the most prestigious award in her industry now holds a new title for the summer. Will her new job help with her inspiration in the kitchen?

My Thoughts: (Caution Spoilers)

Kai Rhodes and Miller Montgomery are the couple. Not many of us would give up the person we love.

Unfortunately, the reality of the situation needs to be taken into account. As a single dad who wants nothing more than the absolute best for the people he loves, even if he gets hurt in the end, it is relatable to some.

Chasing the next big check mark to prove to her loved ones their sacrifices were not for nothing is something we all can relate to Miller with. But being burnt out and needing a step back from life is even more valuable and overlooked than we originally believed.

Opposites attract, especially if one of you cracks a beer open before 10am while the other saves their drinks for 5pm. But is being opposite enough to keep the chemistry alive?
