Hi.
Growing up, I was silenced.
Whether my opinion was wanted or not, it was just noise to those around me. Conversations were never fun. Even a small talk began to be a chore.
As I grew up, I started to realize, my thought, opinions and feeling were different from those around me. But one thing was for certain.
Despite our differences, our voices matter.
From an 85 year old retired business professional, all the way to a 6 year old child, we all have something to learn from the other. Being judged for how our outlook on life is, should never be judged or belittled.
The older we get, the more wisdom we acquire in life, the more we want to share our knowledge. If it helps me, then it must help somebody else, right?
Well, communication is how we connect with people. But what if, the people we want to connect to, isn’t in the environment we’re in?
Sure, it’s easy for some to change their environment right away to fit their narrative. For others, we’re not so lucky.
This is how Coffee Convos was created.
Have a cup of coffee with a friend and talking about your day, is the most simplest yet greatest pleasure in life. One we often take for granted.
Personally, it’s a way to decompress and leave my ‘reality’ for a little while. To reflect on what I’ve done and how far I’ve came in life, my day or simply the journey to my destination.
Other times, I’m simply too busy for that cup of coffee and would rather enjoy some time alone.
This is for those that need a friend. Somebody to relate to, a person with a listening ear, and someone who won’t judge you for your choices in life.
We’ve all been there. Maybe not in your exact situation, but similar enough to understand what you might be feeling.
I encourage you to comment on my posts, share your similar stories and maybe we can figure life out together.
Our 20s is a scary place. One where life will continuously knock us down only for us to pick ourselves up.
My views on certain topics will be different from yours, and that’s okay. We’re all at different stages of life and therefore won’t be able to see multiple perspectives at a time.
I just ask, you keep an open mind.
Together, we can make our voice powerful and build a community where it’s okay to show our differences online without major judgement.
An, if there is a topic that you’re to anxious to bring up to friends, please feel free to fill out the form below! I’ll try my best to give you a different perspective on it in a timely manner.
Until next time,
Sweet T.
